The original hardware behind this pack is a boutique, hand-built homage to the classic 4000-series G-bus VCA compressor topology. Manufactured in Florida with an emphasis on authentic analog component selection, the unit utilizes precision VCA ICs, custom audio paths, and high-grade power supplies to preserve the classic snap and cohesion of the original console circuit while offering modern reliability.

VCA compressors of this lineage are prized for their predictable, program-dependent behavior and ability to integrate a mix together without collapsing the stereo soundstage or muddying the low end. By maintaining a clear bottom end and smooth high-frequency response under gain reduction, this style of compressor became a world-standard tool for mix engineers across every genre.

How to Use It in Genesis

Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at the 12 o'clock position, then set it back to -24 as a starting point, then increase the drive for more compression and character.
