This pack focuses on two highly practical voicings of that classic valve preamp sound: one cleaner and more open, the other more obviously driven and harmonically dense. The result is a straightforward but versatile preamp pack that works equally well for subtle enhancement or stronger vintage-style colour.

This pack includes two HQ 2 emulations built from a classic American tube preamp path.

The Clean emulation delivers the smoother and more open side of the preamp, ideal when you want warmth, dimension, and classic valve tone without pushing too far into obvious saturation.

The Driven emulation pushes the circuit further, adding stronger harmonics, more density, and a thicker vintage-style presentation that works especially well on vocals, bass, guitars, drums, and character buses.

How to Use It in Genesis

Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at the 12 o'clock position, back it off for less saturation or increase it to increase harmonics.

Use the Clean emulation when you want smooth analogue warmth, gentle enhancement, and a more open preamp response.

Use the Driven emulation when you want thicker tone, stronger harmonic colour, and a more assertive vintage tube presentation.
