The Triode emulations offer a smoother and more rounded harmonic response, useful when you want musical warmth and density without excessive aggression.

The Pentode emulations push into a firmer, more forward tone with stronger edge and more obvious saturation behaviour.

The PK1 emulations provide a more specialised and assertive distortion character, making them useful when you want the saturation itself to become a defining part of the sound.

A Brief History

High-end tube saturation units became popular because they offered something beyond simple distortion: a way to add harmonic complexity, density, and attitude while still preserving a sense of musicality.

Designs in this class became especially valued when they offered multiple operating modes and control over bias, filtering, and drive, allowing engineers to move from subtle enhancement to much more forceful colour without reaching for entirely different hardware. How to Use It in Genesis

Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at the 12 o'clock position, back it off for less saturation or increase it to increase harmonics.
