The Left and Right emulations let you work with the individual channel character of the hardware path, preserving the small tonal differences that help analogue equipment feel real and dimensional.

A Brief History

The original 1057 belongs to the earliest generation of British console modules, dating back to the late 1960s. Period references place 1057 modules in some of the first British consoles shipped to the United States in 1968, during the formative years that led directly into the classic 80 Series era.

What makes the 1057 historically interesting is that it comes from a period before later modules such as the 1073 became the widely recognised standard. These earlier designs were already establishing the core traits engineers would come to associate with the brand: transformer-based depth, confident midrange presence, musical top end, and a sense of size that made sources feel larger and more finished.

Because original 1057 modules are comparatively rare, they have become valued not only as collector pieces but also as examples of early NV character before the better-known 1970s modules took over the spotlight. The Vintage Pre-1057 Emulations preserve that earlier chapter of British console tone in a practical Genesis format.

How to Use It in Genesis

Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at the 12 o'clock position, back it off for cleaner tone or increase it for more drive and harmonic colour.
