The AnalogX MP7073 Custom Tube Preamp Emulations bring a modern high-end Class A tube preamp and line path into Genesis, rebuilt using our HQ 2 Technology for depth, harmonic density, and controlled analog drive.

This is not a nostalgia product built around a loose vintage imitation. It is based on a contemporary tube design created to deliver clarity, punch, and musical saturation while remaining practical in real tracking and mixing work. Whether used clean, lightly driven, or pushed harder, it adds weight and energy without losing definition.

Vocals gain body and presence. Bass becomes solid and authoritative. Synths, drums, and guitars take on more density while preserving transient detail. This is modern tube tone built to work.

The preamp emulations represent the full mic and instrument amplification path, including the core tube drive behaviour and gain staging of the hardware.

The line emulations let you inject the MP7073’s Class A tube character into buses, stems, and already recorded material without needing the full preamp gain structure.

Together, these emulations give you a flexible tube toolkit for tracking tone, mix enhancement, and creative analog-style sound shaping.

A Brief History

The MP7073 comes from a more modern branch of analog hardware design, where the goal was not to recreate unstable vintage behaviour, but to build a contemporary Class A tube preamp with real headroom, consistent performance, and musical saturation when pushed.

From a major studio in Austria, and designed by Charly Bohaimid with a focus on Class A line tube preamplification and op-amp design. That gives it a slightly different identity from more mass-market preamps: it is a purpose-driven studio tool built around tone and usability rather than broad commercial branding.

That is what makes it interesting to capture in Genesis. It brings together modern precision, tube character, and session-friendly behaviour in a way that feels more like a working engineer’s tool than a collector piece.

How to Use It in Genesis

Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at the 12 o'clock position, back it off for cleaner tone or increase it for more drive and harmonic colour.
