A Brief History

First released in the 1960s, the 2A changed everything. With just two knobs and an electro-optical circuit, it became the go-to vocal compressor for decades, and still is. Its secret? An LDR T4 (light-dependent resistor) that dynamically reacts to the input, making the attack and release musical and program-dependent.

Our version pays homage to this sonic legacy while unlocking new tonal possibilities using modern technological breakthroughs.
