AnalogX - NV-1064 Line Emulations (GENESIS)
Exclusive to Genesis | Modelled at 48k | Powered by our HQ 2 Technology | Calibrated to -18 with the Red Drive at Unity (12 o'clock)
Legendary British Iron:
The AnalogX NV-1064 Line Emulations bring the unmistakable tone of a revered vintage British module into Genesis, rebuilt using our latest HQ 2 technology for responsive, mix-ready analogue character inside your DAW.
Paying homage to a classic early-1970s British channel amplifier design, this pack delivers the rich harmonic weight, transformer colour, and forward musical tone that helped define an era of recording.
From clean console-style enhancement to thicker driven saturation, NV-1064 gives you authentic line-stage colour with the flexibility to move from subtle analogue depth to more assertive harmonic impact.
What’s Inside
NV-64 CH1 Pristine - Full-bodied line tone from Channel 1
NV-64 CH2 - Alternate channel flavour with the same classic iron character
NV-64 CH1 HOT - Driven harder for thicker tone and added punch
NV-64 CH2 HOT - Channel 2 pushed into richer saturation
Brand New NV-64 emulations, completely re-sampled at a world-class recording facility in Austria.
A Brief History
Originally developed in the early 1970s, the NV-1064 belongs to a family of discrete Class A British microphone and line amplifier designs that became central to some of the most respected console workflows in recording history.
Its sound is closely associated with transformer-driven tone, strong midrange presence, and a slightly more assertive edge when pushed. While related to other famous British modules from the same era, this design has long been appreciated in its own right for its punch, density, and distinctive line-stage colour.
These types of amplifiers became trusted tools for vocals, guitars, drums, and mix processing, not only for their gain structure, but for the way they added depth and finish even on a simple line pass.
How to Use It in Genesis
Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at 0, or unity, at the 12 o'clock position.
Use the standard captures when you want clean analogue tone with transformer depth and console-style colour.
Use the HOT captures when you want more density, stronger harmonic content, and a more driven presentation.
Push the input for additional saturation, or back it off for cleaner signal processing while retaining the tonal footprint of the hardware.
