The Magic 7 AD DA pack continues our growing series of converter tone captures. This time we turned our attention to one of the most revered effects units in history. The Magic 7 reverb has long been celebrated for its three dimensional imaging depth air and realism. But the secret to its sound is not only the algorithm, it is the complete end to end signal path.
For the first time inside Genesis you can now run your reverbs, delays of FX through the actual converter tone of the Magic 7 itself adding that missing something that producers so often struggle to put their finger on..... This is a full end to end capture of the signal path that shapes the front end punch the low level behaviour the upper harmonic glow and the subtle transient smoothing that engineers have adored for over a decade.
This is not a reverb. This is the tone of the reverb hardware. The converters that made the Magic 7 feel expensive wide and alive. Now available as a tone shaper inside Genesis.

🧬 A Brief History
Since its release the Magic 7 became the undisputed king of digital hardware reverb. Its realism came not only from its internal algorithms but from the engineering philosophy behind it. The designers built a full studio grade analog front end with extremely high quality converters that gave the unit its unmistakable sense of physical depth.
Producers quickly learned that even without using the reverb at all simply running audio through the Magic 7 changed the sound. Transients softened in a pleasing natural way the stereo field slightly widened and there was a subtle shimmer in the high frequencies that mixed perfectly with acoustic recordings vocals strings and even electronic material.
These converter paths became part of the folklore behind the unit. Many high end mixers still run stems through their M7 purely for tone even if no reverb is added. With The Magic 7 AD DA pack that character is now available inside Genesis without any need for the original hardware.
