The standalone preamp emulations provide the core tone of the unit, ranging from a lower-drive, cleaner response through to a hotter, more harmonically developed presentation.

The preamp-into-NV-console emulations lean into a thicker, weightier, more rounded console character with stronger low-mid body and a more classic British-style finish.

The preamp-into-API-console emulations push toward a firmer, punchier, more forward response with stronger edge, definition, and transient attitude.

Together, these emulations give you both front-end analog sweetening and more assertive console-style tone shaping inside Genesis.

A Brief History

The hardware behind this pack reflects a more modern approach to analog studio tone: rather than reproducing a single vintage circuit exactly, it was designed to combine high-voltage Class A preamp topology with selectable console-inspired output stages in one practical studio tool.

That idea became especially attractive in hybrid workflows, where engineers wanted the feel of classic console colour without needing a full desk or multiple separate channel strips. By drawing inspiration from both British and American console traditions, this type of design gave users access to different tonal personalities from a single hardware unit.

How to Use It in Genesis

Click CAL to ensure the input is calibrated correctly in Genesis. Start with the Red Drive at the 12 o'clock position, back it off for cleaner tone or increase it for more drive and harmonic colour.
