The MP7077 Custom Preamp was designed specifically for a major Austrian studio owner whose facility houses some of the finest recording equipment in the world. This is a fully discrete Class A 500 series design, handcrafted with selected components and a custom op-amp topology by Charly Bohaimid.

Sonically, it carries that bold American-style punch in the mids, tight authoritative low end, and an open, forward top. It oozes class and attitude without sounding forced.

Now it lives inside Genesis.

Modelled at 48kHz using our High Quality modelling tier, this pack captures the transient snap, harmonic density, and analog behaviour that make this preamp special.

The preamp captures deliver the core Class A character.

The line captures allow you to use the tonal colour without driving full microphone gain, perfect for stems, groups, mix bus enhancement, or re-amping digital tracks through pure analog behaviour.

All captures are calibrated with the Sweet Spot Led (GREEN) and the Red Drive at unity (12 o’clock). This ensures we deliver the intended analog response and harmonic structure. But feel free to drive harder or pull back where required!

The MP7077 is a mono microphone, instrument, and line preamplifier in 500 series format, featuring:

• Fully discrete Class A circuitry
• 64 dB mic gain
• 50 dB instrument/line gain

Designed for high-end studio use, this unit was never about gimmicks. It was about punch, clarity, and musical authority.

Its tonal fingerprint sits somewhere between vintage American console aggression and refined European depth, tight low end, focused mids, and harmonics that bloom rather than smear.
